June, 2009

Every year, Applied Arts, Canada’s leading visual-communications magazine, receives piles of submissions from printing companies who long to see their work recognized by the eminent publication. David Gallant, Flash’s vice-president, sat on the judges’ panel for the 2009 Applied Arts Printing Awards, weighing the creative merit, technical excellence and sustainability of the entries to determine which would be printed in the annual Applied Arts Printing Awards issue and shown at the Winners’ Exhibit. While all award recipients also receive a frameable certificate that attests to their accomplishment, judges like David are recognized as “highly regarded industry professionals and experts” on the Applied Arts site, a fine accomplishment in itself.
